2. Has the NC State Bar reviewed MyDefenseLawyer.com’s Interactive Online Catalogue to ensure it is compliant with the Rules of Professional Conduct?
In 2010 the NC State Bar’s Ethics Committee reviewed our distribution methods related to printed communications and provided a favorable written opinion. We are in the process of having the NC State Bar review our technology framework and anticipate no issues as we have sought advice during development from a local North Carolina law firm that handles ethics and compliance matters.
3. How does MyDefenseLawyer.com attract consumers to the website?
We are investing heavily in Search Engine Optimization and Pay-per-Click campaigns. We are also in the process of launching aggressive marketing campaigns via various social media platforms. In addition, through a network of strategic partners we have developed a unique print campaign that is targeted specifically to individuals who have an immediate need for private criminal defense counsel. We are also in the process of developing a unique mobile marketing strategy that will be introduced soon.
4. Does MyDefenseLawyer.com market the holistic portfolio of services offered by law firms?
Our niche is marketing the services of individual attorneys. Our research indicates that consumers prefer to be directed to individual attorney profiles over law firm profiles because it personalizes their search experience and reduces the amount of information they need to internalize before they make a decision to contact an attorney. By simplifying the amount of research a consumer must do in the early stages of their search efforts we improve conversion rates – the likelihood that a consumer will move from a prospect to a paying client.
5. Does MyDefenseLawyer.com work with solo attorneys and small law firms?

6. Criminal law is not the only area of concentration that makes up my personal law practice. Will MyDefenseLawyer.com allow me to promote other areas of concentration (such as business law, tax law, personal injury, etc) on my Interactive Online Catalogue profile?

However, if a consumer contacts you through your MyDefenseLawyer.com profile regarding a criminal, DUI or traffic matter and also has a need in another area of law that you or your firm cover, we encourage you to pursue those discussions.
